Minister Chaudhary: Provincial Governments Manage Relief for Agricultural Losses

Kathmandu. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Gita Chaudhary, has stated that relief management for losses in the agricultural sector due to climate change and natural disasters is being carried out through provincial governments.

On Friday, during a National Assembly meeting, MP Rukmini Koirala had questioned the government's policies, programs, and budget regarding the protection of farmers affected by disasters such as climate change, floods, droughts, hailstorms, and excessive rainfall, as well as for prompt relief, compensation, and expansion of access to agricultural insurance.
