Senior Health Administrator and Wife Accused of Illegally Amassing Wealth

Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a charge sheet at the Special Court Kathmandu against senior health administrator (former 10th level) Dr. Arjun Prasad Sapkota and his wife Niraja Pandit on the charge of illegally acquiring property.

Complaints were filed stating that Sapkota, continuously working in various attractive offices under the Ministry of Health, purchased expensive plots of land in major cities including Kathmandu, built grand houses, bought expensive vehicles, and led an unnatural lifestyle. Based on these complaints, the Commission determined the investigation period from July 11, 1996 (2053/04/25 BS) to April 30, 2023 (2080/01/30 BS) and conducted an investigation.
