Three Health Bills Registered in Parliament Secretariat

Kathmandu. Three amendment bills related to the health sector have been registered in the Parliament Secretariat by the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene. After being approved by the Council of Ministers meeting on Bhadra 29, 2083, the Ministry has registered the bill to amend the Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights Act, the bill to amend the Health Workers and Health Institutions Security Act, and the bill to amend the Act on Regulation and Control of Breast Milk Substitutes in the Parliament Secretariat.

The Ministry has moved forward with these bills with the objective of making the existing legal provisions in the health sector time-appropriate and further enhancing service delivery, maternal and reproductive health rights, security of health workers and health institutions, and regulation of breast milk substitutes.
