Bank Deposits Decrease by 0.3% in First Month of FY 2083/84

Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year 2083/84, July, deposits mobilized by banks and financial institutions have decreased by 0.3 percent. The central bank has stated that in the first month, it decreased by 20 billion 71 crore to 82 kharba 56 arba 21 crore. However, on a year-on-year basis, deposits have increased by 14.5 percent.

During this period, loans flowing to the private sector have increased by 0.4 percent, by 23 billion 58 crore, reaching 50 kharba 80 arba 64 crore. On a year-on-year basis, loan expansion has been 7.0 percent.
