Mechinagar Prepares for Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination Drive for Adults

Mechinagar. Preparations are underway to vaccinate everyone above 30 years of age against encephalitis in Mechinagar Municipality, which is considered the most affected area in the district by Japanese Encephalitis.

Savitra Sapkota, chief of the Mechinagar Health Branch, informed that 65,525 vials of vaccine have arrived in Mechinagar today for the municipality, and preparations have been completed at the vaccination centers in all 15 wards. She stated that the district-level vaccination campaign for Jhapa will be inaugurated on October 5th at the Kakarbhitta Health Post located in Mechinagar Municipality-6.
