Iran Holds Volunteer Parade Amidst War Concerns

Kathmandu. More than six months after the war began, Iran's capital Tehran held a parade of armed volunteers on Friday in an effort to mobilize its supporters.

Men carrying swords and women, some with Kalashnikov rifles and faces covered, participated in the parade, pledging to defend the country. Students in military uniforms marched with weapons in hand in front of a large picture of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
