Ruling alliance suggests CJ Rana to take leave, designate acting CJ at SC

KATHMANDU, December 2: A meeting of the ruling alliance, the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha Party, has suggested the chief justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana to take leave and designate a acting chief justice during his absence in the Supreme Court (SC).
A meeting held at Prime Minister’s residence office at Baluwatar in the capital suggested CJ Rana to take a leave since he has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and designate an acting CJ in his absence for a smooth operation of the judicial body, according to Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Information, Communication and Spokesperson for the government.
