Local Governments in Gorkha Collect Over 30 Million Rupees for Flood Victims

Pokhara. Local governments in Gorkha have provided more than 30 million rupees in aid for the resettlement, relief, and rescue of those affected by the floodwaters from Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa. The 11 local levels in the district have collected funds from people's representatives, employees, and teachers. They have stated that all the money will be deposited in the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

Gorakha Municipality has collected the largest amount, 5 million rupees. The municipality stated that 5 million rupees were collected, including 500,000 rupees from people's representatives, 3.140589 million rupees from teachers and employees, 1.132890 million rupees from employees appointed by the municipality, and 226,521 rupees from the municipality's fund.
