Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle to Raise Climate Justice Issues in International Forums

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, who is on a visit to India, has said that Nepal will strongly raise its voice for climate justice in international forums.

In a conversation with Indian news agency ANI, Finance Minister Wagle stated that preparations are underway to raise the issues of problems faced by Nepal due to climate change in various international forums, and informed that he would raise this issue at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank meeting in Doha, Qatar. From there, he will go directly to America, where he will discuss with representatives of the World Bank and the United Nations to provide information about the problems faced by Nepal due to climate change, and informed that he will also participate in the annual meeting of the Bretton Woods Institutions to be held in Bangkok in mid-October and raise this issue there.
