Constitution, Disaster And Climate Justice 

This year, the 11th anniversary of the promulgation of the new constitution is not taking place with much fanfare. The nation is plunged into an unimaginable tragedy caused by the Bhotekoshi flood. The natural disaster has cast a pall over the political sphere, too. Now, search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation work still continues in the flood-affected places. This is why the statute commemoration functions will largely be subdued, but at this moment of reckoning, the national charter also offers insights for the government, political parties and social organisations to pull out all the stops to expedite the reconstruction campaign for the flood-hit people.
