Opposition cries foul as Cabinet passes 5 ordinances

Many lawmakers have termed the government’s decision to bypass Parliament to amend laws ‘regressive’.
The Council of Ministers, in its Friday night meeting, decided to recommend the issuance of ordinances to President Ramchandra Paudel. The ordinances include the Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts, the Ordinance to Amend Land-Related Laws, and the Ordinance to Amend Investment-Related Laws, among others.
