Nepal Exports Over NPR 5.9 Billion Electricity in Bhadra

Kathmandu. Nepal has exported electricity worth more than NPR 5.9 billion in the month of Bhadra. According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, a total of 56 crore 56 lakh 6 thousand 4 hundred and 43 units of electricity were exported to India and Bangladesh during that period.

The authority has stated that it sold electricity through bilateral agreements and electricity markets (exchange markets). More than 42 crore 16 lakh units of electricity were sold for more than NPR 3.64 billion through bilateral agreements, while more than 14 crore 39 lakh units of electricity were exported from the exchange market, earning NPR 1.44 billion 99 lakh.
