Iran Claims Attack on Togo-Flagged Tanker in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran. Iran has claimed to have attacked a Togo-flagged oil tanker moving through the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iranian officials, action was taken after the ship attempted to cross the strait without permission.

However, the claim could not be independently confirmed. Iran has warned that it will take action against other ships that cross the strait without permission. Meanwhile, another oil tanker has also reportedly been attacked by an unidentified object. All crew members are said to be safe.
