Entertainment sector workers grapple with economic problems during prohibitory order

KATHMANDU: While the country is battling against the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and has been under prohibitory order for nearly a month and a half to contain the deadly infection, lower-rung workers in the entertainment sector are grappling with financial constraints.

According to Biswas Nepal, an organization working for workers in the entertainment sector such as hotel, restaurant, dance clubs and singing clubs, among others, altogether 25 workers were reported to have lost their jobs during the prohibitory-order enforced since April 29 this year.
