Cultural heritage loss estimated at Rs. 146M

Kathmandu, Sept. 20: The devastating flood of August 26, 2026 left a trail of death and destruction, claiming lives, destroying property and placing the region’s historic settlements and cultural heritage at grave risk. Religious sites, monuments and other unique landmarks that have defined the area for generation were threatened by the disaster, highlighting the urged need to protect and preserve this invaluable legacy.
