Sports Tournaments and Fairs Boost Tourism and Local Economy in Bhojpur

Bhojpur. Sports competitions and fairs/festivals operating at the local level have been contributing to tourism promotion. Local residents stated that the presence of players and sports enthusiasts coming from the local municipality, neighboring districts, and various parts of the country during sports events, fairs, and festivals has had a positive impact on promoting tourism here.

Making sports the basis for tourism promotion, the Pauthadungma Rural Municipality in the district recently concluded the third Pauthadungma Gold Cup and Maghi Festival successfully. The influx of visitors from within and outside the district due to the competition and festival positively impacted local tourism and business.
