Japan's Takumi Hozo Wins First Gold Medal in 20th Asian Games

Kathmandu. Host Japan has made an excellent start with a gold medal in the ongoing 20th Asian Games on home soil. Takumi Hozo won the gold medal in the men's individual triathlon, bringing the first gold of the Aichi-Nagoya Asiad to Japan.

30-year-old Hozo completed the निर्धारित distance in 52 minutes and 56 seconds in the competition held on Sunday. He won the gold by leaving China's Zhang Xirui 9 seconds behind. Kazakhstan's Arlan Zhanabay won the bronze medal, finishing 15 seconds behind.
