Vehicle Catches Fire on Mahendra Highway in Bardiya

Bardia. A rented Hiace caught fire at the Rammapur intersection in Barbardiya Municipality-7 on the East-West Mahendra Highway. The Hiace with number plate Sudurpaschim Province 01-002 J 433, which was going from Kohalpur to Kailali, caught fire on Saturday, informed DSP Resham Bohara, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Bardiya, to Ratopati.

According to him, it is not yet certain how the Hiace caught fire. The police have stated that a technical team has reached the spot and is investigating the cause of the fire. The Hiace was driven by 38-year-old Narendra Negi of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-3, Kailali.
