Hikmat Jung Karki Appointed International Relations Department Member of Rastriya Swatantra Party

Kathmandu. Youth leader Hikmat Jung Karki has been appointed as a member of the International Relations and Diplomatic Department of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). The secretariat meeting held on Sunday decided to appoint Karki as a member, according to a statement issued by spokesperson Jagdish Kharel. Karki was also in the same position before the first general convention of the RSP. Even after the general convention, the RSP has continued him in the same position in the said department led by Shishir Khanal. The party stated that Karki, a resident of Kathmandu, has been given the responsibility with the belief that he will efficiently fulfill his responsibilities in accordance with the party's constitution, policies, principles, and departmental regulations. Karki is a youth with long experience in international relations and diplomacy. He has experience serving as the co-chairperson of an organization affiliated with young democrats worldwide. He has completed his postgraduate studies in International Relations from the University of East London and his bachelor's degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Tribhuvan University. In the past, he played a significant role in policy dialogue and global networking by representing Nepal in various international forums including the United Nations World Urban Forum held in Poland, the Democratic Forum in Washington D.C., USA, and New Zealand, and various forums in Finland, Germany, Morocco, and the UK. Upon being nominated to the department, Karki expressed his commitment to remain fully committed to the party's constitution, policies, and principles and to continuously strive to further strengthen, make effective, and expand international relations under the guidance of the leadership. The meeting also appointed Mahesh Bhatta and Tashi Lazom as members of the department.
