Kathmandu. Every year on September 21, World Alzheimer's (forgetting disease) Day is celebrated. This year's Alzheimer's Day theme is 'The sooner you know, the better'. It calls for early identification of the disease and identification of the main factors that promote this disease to prevent forgetting disease.
This day has been celebrated since 1994. According to world statistics, 5 percent of the population aged 65 to 75 years, 13 percent aged 75 to 85 years, and one-third of those over 85 years have Alzheimer's.
