Chaudhary reflects on suffering and unfulfilled promises on protest anniversary

Kathmandu, August 23 - It has been nine years since the incident in Tikapur, Kailali, which occurred during the Tharuhat, Tharuwan, and Akhand Sudurpaschim movement. On August 24, 2015, seven policemen, including Senior Superintendent of Police Laxman Neupane, and one minor were killed in the protests.

Resham Lal Chaudhary, a leader of the Nagarik Unmukti Party who was also imprisoned for his role in the incident, has described today as a dark day for the residents of Tikapur.
