Minister Lamsal: E-Bidding to Resume by October, Addresses Construction Material Price Hikes

Kathmandu. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has stated that the electronic procurement system (e-bidding) will be operational by the month of October. He informed that the system is currently being upgraded because the old system faced security challenges and was not trusted by donor agencies.

During a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Infrastructure Development, Minister Lamsal clarified that the electronic procurement system could not be advanced immediately because it was found that many contracts in the past were hacked.
