Government to Build Higher Bridges to Mitigate Flood Damage

Kathmandu. To minimize damage to road infrastructure caused by floods, landslides, and river erosion, the government is set to adopt a policy of constructing 'higher bridges' as a long-term solution.

Speaking at a meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee under the House of Representatives on Monday, Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Gopal Prasad Sigdel, informed that in the coming days, bridge designs will be changed to construct higher bridges to solve such disaster problems.
