MP Ashika Tamang Questions Pollution from Old Vehicles, Cites Lack of Enforcement

Kathmandu. National Independent Party MP Ashika Tamang has raised questions about the pollution caused by old vehicles plying the roads and the government's indifference to it. In the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, MP Tamang spoke about the age of vehicles and the pollution they spread.

MP Tamang said, 'While white clouds are running in the sky above, we on the ground are suffocating from the black smoke of vehicles and are forced to overtake our vehicles, wondering when we will get relief.' She accused the government of never assessing the condition of vehicles.
