Parliamentary Committee Directs Ministry for Effective Coordination in Reconstruction of Flood and Landslide Affected Areas

Kathmandu. The parliamentary committee has directed the ministry to effectively coordinate between the federal, provincial, and local levels for the reconstruction of flood and landslide affected areas and to prepare an action plan immediately. The directive was given at a meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee held in Singhdarbar on Monday.

Presenting the decisions of the meeting, Infrastructure Development Committee Chairman Ashish Gajurel said that a decision has been made to intensify the work of restoration by collecting details of infrastructures damaged by disasters. Praising the rapid performance seen in the construction of some Bailey bridges and some road infrastructures in recent days, he emphasized the need to continue the same style.
