Securities Board of Nepal Sets Eligibility Criteria for IPO Issuing Companies

Kathmandu. Nepal's Securities Board (SEBON) has determined the eligibility criteria for companies issuing IPOs. SEBON has set such criteria through the Public Offering General Eligibility Guidelines, 2083. This guideline, currently publicized as a draft, will come into effect upon its implementation.

Once this guideline of the board is implemented, the path will be open for any eligible company to issue an IPO at any time. Previously, IPO approvals were at the discretion of the board's leadership.
