Bus Driver Sets Himself on Fire After Dispute with Traffic Police

Kathmandu. Facts have emerged that the driver, 25-year-old Dawa Lama, had an altercation with traffic police before attempting self-immolation by setting fire to the bus he was driving in Tripureswor, Kathmandu on Monday afternoon. Lama, angered by the traffic police on duty for allegedly mistreating and assaulting him without fault, locked himself inside the passenger-less bus and set himself on fire a short while later.

In a video publicly shared on social media, driver Dawa Lama is seen presenting himself in a very angry mood towards the traffic police. In the video, he is heard expressing his anger, saying, 'Why did you have to hit me without any fault? Why did he do this to me without my fault? Even after I cooperated so much, you snatched my keys and hit me.'
