National Assembly Member Madankumari Sah Urges PM to Raise Climate Change, BhoteKoshi Flood Issues Internationally

Kathmandu. National Assembly member and leader of the Nepali Communist Party, Madankumari Sah, has demanded that the government strongly raise the issue of irreparable damage Nepal is facing due to climate change and the devastating flood in BhoteKoshi, Rasuwa, during the Prime Minister's upcoming foreign visit.

Speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Monday, she urged that climate justice, compensation for loss and damage, and the security of the Himalayan region be prioritized in the diplomatic agenda. She emphasized that the BhoteKoshi flood should be interpreted not merely as a natural disaster but as a consequence of the climate crisis.
