Prime Minister Directs Effective Implementation of 'Mission-2026' for Asian Games Success

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed the effective advancement of the 'Mission-2026' put forth by the National Sports Council (NSC). The Prime Minister issued this directive to make successful the goal of bringing double-digit medals, including gold, in the 20th Asian Games to be held in Japan in 2026.

A team led by NSC Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta visited Baluwatar to provide information regarding the progress and challenges of Mission-2026. During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki committed to ensuring there would be no shortage of budget for sports preparation and to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance for the management of necessary funds.
