Repair and Reconstruction of Damaged Suspension Bridges and Tuins Underway After Rasuwa Flood

Kathmandu. The work of repair and reconstruction of tuins and suspension bridges damaged by the Rasuwa flood has been expedited. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has stated that four tuins have been constructed and put into operation so far, and preparations are underway to install tuins at three more locations.

According to the ministry, a motorized tuin connecting Indreni Chaur and Gumbadanda across the Trishuli River has been constructed and put into operation. Similarly, tuins have been put into operation in Devi Ghat of Bidur Municipality-5, Nuwakot, in Syabrubesi-Chilime Hydropower Project located in Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-5 and 6, Rasuwa, and in Hakubesi in Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-6 and Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality-1.
