25 Disasters in Jhapa in Bhadra Cause Rs 1.94 Million Damage

Jhapa. In Jhapa, 25 disaster incidents in the month of Bhadra caused physical damage worth Rs 1.94 million. According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Ranjan Awa, although there was no human loss in the disaster incidents, one person was injured. The police have safely rescued 69 people affected by the incidents.

Although there were no flood and landslide incidents in the said month, attacks by wild animals have emerged as the main disaster. Out of a total of 25 incidents, 17 were attacks by wild animals. One person was injured in animal attacks, and 55 people were rescued. The police data shows that physical damage worth Rs 635,000 was caused by this. Similarly, seven fire incidents in various places in the district caused damage worth Rs 1.21 million. Lightning caused damage worth Rs 100,000. Deputy Superintendent of Police Awa said that the police team has been kept on high alert for 24 hours for immediate rescue and relief during disasters.
