Billing Lottery Stimulates Tax Enforcement

Following the budget announcement of FY 2083/84, the government of Nepal has been implementing the Taxpayers’ Gift Incentives Programme. The scheme provides cash incentives of Rs. 100,000 daily and Rs. 1,000,000 fortnightly through a well-designed lottery system for taxpayers taking the bill in their final transactions.
