Call For Global Stewardship At UN

The Rasuwa flood was a mega disaster, a wake-up call for the Himalaya. For years we have treated Himalayan disasters as separate incidents. A flood here, a glacial lake outburst somewhere else. But the mountains have always been telling us something different. These risks are increasingly connected, cascading and climate-driven. And the risk landscape of the Himalaya is changing faster than our institutions, infrastructure and disaster management systems can keep up with.
