China Opposes US Sanctions on Iranian Airlines

Kathmandu. China has opposed the US's preparation to further tighten sanctions on Iranian airlines. A day after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned that it would be difficult for Iranian airlines to operate worldwide, China called the US move 'illegal unilateral sanctions'.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiaqun said that China has been opposing unilateral sanctions imposed without international law or UN Security Council permission. His statement came before the summit talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which are scheduled to begin on Thursday.
