Govt to reduce staff positions by up to 20%, cut meeting allowances

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: In response to the country’s challenging fiscal situation, the government has decided to cut meeting allowances for civil servants and reduce staff positions by up to 20%. The decision was taken at a secretary-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal.
