Weather Forecast: Monsoon and Western Winds Affecting Nepal, Heavy Rainfall Expected in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces

Kathmandu. Currently, there is a partial influence of monsoon winds along with western winds across the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has informed. Also, a low-pressure area is located around the west-central parts of the Bay of Bengal and this system is expected to become stronger in the coming days and move towards the west-northwest as a strong low-pressure area.

Currently, the sky is generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, including Bagmati Province, while the weather in the Terai region is mostly clear to partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain is occurring in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
