Lightning Strikes Claim 20 Lives in Bihar; Himachal Suffers ₹818 Crore in Damages

New Delhi : Several low-lying areas in Bihar's Nalanda district remain flooded. Meanwhile, water levels in the Phalgu River continue to rise following heavy rainfall in Jharkhand. On Wednesday, lightning strikes across various districts of Bihar resulted in 20 fatalities. Despite these incidents, the state has recorded 46% below-average rainfall this season.
