National Independent Party Leader Expresses Concern Over Bus Driver's Self-Immolation

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Secretariat Member Lima Adhikari has expressed deep sorrow over the incident where 25-year-old bus driver Arjun Dango self-immolated after a dispute with traffic police in Tripureshwor. Adhikari views this incident not just as the pain of an individual, but as a serious question raised about the relationship between citizens and the state, administrative behavior, and the system of grievance hearing.

In a statement on Wednesday, Adhikari stated that the state is the guardian of the people and that when citizens face problems, the state must listen, support, and provide a sense of justice. She called the situation where any citizen has to risk their life to raise their voice against injustice or seek justice unfortunate, demanding concrete immediate and long-term reforms.
