Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal Calls for Global South to Lead Rule-Making

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has emphasized that the countries of the Global South should move forward from the stage of 'following rules' to the role of 'making rules' by effectively participating in global decision-making processes.

Addressing the high-level ministerial meeting of like-minded countries and friendly nations of the Global South, organized by India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in New York, USA, on the occasion of the high-level week of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations, Minister Khanal stated that the collective voice of developing countries should be made more effective in the global governance system.
