Banking Offenses Rise Amidst Growing Financial System Risks

Banking offense convict Ganesh Bhandari, fined Rs. 1 crore 58 lakh 54 thousand 630 and sentenced to 16 days imprisonment, was arrested by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office on Shrawan 28, 2083.

Ramabhakta Thapa from Kavre, convicted of banking offense with a three-year jail sentence and a fine of Rs. 9 crore 7 lakh 6 thousand 378, was arrested by the police from Koteshwor on Magh 28, 2080. He had taken loans from Capital Merchant and Finance using forged company documents.
