Energy Minister Announces Relief for Flood Victims, IPO Quota for Security Personnel

Kathmandu. Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has announced various reliefs targeting employees, consumers, and locals affected by the unprecedented flood in the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli river system on September 10.

Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting, he stated that the families of Electricity Authority employees who went missing or lost contact in the Trishuli river while on duty will immediately receive Rs 500,000 in relief and 50 percent of their salary for six months.
