Nepal Transport Federation Urges Caution Amidst Heavy Rainfall and Flood Risks

Kathmandu. The Federation of National Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal has urged people not to travel long distances and at night except for essential work, citing high risks of floods and landslides in various parts of the country. The Federation has appealed to transport entrepreneurs, drivers, co-drivers, and general passengers to take special precautions from Ashoj 8 to 12, a period of high disaster risk.

Based on prior information from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the Federation issued a public notice making this appeal.
