11 Killed in South Africa House Party Shooting

Kathmandu. 11 people have died in a shooting at a house party near Durban, South Africa. Three others have been injured in the incident. According to police, on Tuesday night, three gunmen entered a house in the Kwamakhutha township, about 30 kilometers south of Durban city, and fired indiscriminately. Police said one of the deceased is suspected to be a pregnant woman. The three injured are undergoing treatment. According to police, the attackers fled after the incident. Although they are being searched for, no one has been arrested so far. The reason for the shooting has not been immediately revealed. However, it is suspected that the incident could be due to conflict between groups involved or disputes between criminal groups. Police also stated that some people gathered at the house were involved in criminal activities. Such mass shootings have increased in South Africa in recent years. Last June, 12 people were killed when gunmen opened fire in a poor settlement in Johannesburg. South Africa is among the countries with the highest murder rates in the world. According to police data, an average of about 60 people are murdered daily in the country.
