Chitwan National Park Completes 1,042 Days Without Rhino Poaching

Chitwan. It has been 1,042 days since rhinos were saved from poaching in Chitwan National Park. Earlier, on November 16, 2023, two rhinos were killed by smugglers by trapping them in pits in the eastern sector of the park.

Smugglers had killed two rhinos by trapping them in separate pits in the Chhaprauli area of the park, located three kilometers southeast of Khagendramalli Post in eastern Chitwan.
