Kathmandu. Finance Minister and Acting Prime Prime Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has stated that the 'Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083' is essential to address the rapidly developing financial technology (fintech) and international practices.

Responding to questions raised on the bill in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, he clarified that this amendment is an important step for the modernization and formalization of the economy.
