Far-West Nepal on High Alert for Heavy Rainfall and Potential Disasters

Mahendranagar. With heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted in various parts of the country for three days starting this Friday, stakeholders in Sudurpaschim Province have been kept on alert and disaster response mechanisms are in a state of readiness.

Chief of the Jal tatha Mausam Bidhya Karyalaya Attariya, Kailali, Sanjaykumar Shah, informed that an 'alert' has been issued for Bajhang, Bajura, Dadeldhura, and Achham, which are at high risk during the potential rainfall. "As rainfall is expected in the Chure region, these two districts have also been placed on high alert," he said.
