Nepali Congress 15th General Convention: Palika-Level Conventions Underway in 58 Districts

Kathmandu. Under the process of the Nepali Congress's 15th General Convention, conventions at the palika (local unit) level have now begun in various districts across the country. According to Raju Katuwal, Member-Secretary of the Central Election Committee, the convention process has moved forward in 512 palikas in 58 districts so far.

Member-Secretary Katuwal stated that the palika-level convention is somewhat more complex and time-consuming compared to the ward-level convention. He told Ratopati, ‘The palika convention is not as easy as the ward convention. The possibility of consensus is also less here; even if efforts are made for consensus, it takes time to reconcile all sides.’
