Manaslu Autumn Climbing Season Ends Without Summit Due to Weather

Miles Sherpa of the Summit Force team on Manaslu writes, “Strong winds and continuous snowfall have forced climbers to reconsider their summit plans and return from Camp 1 and 2 to Base Camp.” Sherpa says that an approaching late monsoon storm system will dump more snow on the already avalanche-prone mountain.
