Suspension Bridge Reconstructed in Nuwakot After Flood Damage

Kathmandu. The Pimaltar–Jagaram suspension bridge in Belkotgadhi, Nuwakot, damaged by the flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa, has been reconstructed.

According to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, with the reconstruction of the suspension bridge, movement in that area has been fully restored. The ministry stated that the bridge, damaged by the flood, has been brought into operation today after straightening its twisted cables, replacing the handrail cables, installing steel decks and beams, and completing the installation of netting.
