Today marks the 13th Nepali National Dress and Topi Day

Kathmandu, Jan 1: The 13th Nepali Rastriya Poshak Diwas tatha Topi Diwas (National Dress and Hat Day) is being commemorated today through a variety of events organized by numerous youth organizations.

Under the slogan 'Nepali Topi: Our Identity,' young individuals have been observing this day for the past 13 years. This celebration was established in 2070 BS to encourage the adoption of traditional Nepali attire, including daura, suruwal, topi, and gunyo choli, as representations of Nepali identity among the youth.
